It may be cliché, but Lee Se-young was clear and sincere. A person who goes in a straight line without intruding on anyone, and is straight up thinking and expressing herself. This is also outdated, but it overlaps with Deok-im's in <The Red Sleeve>. In this pictorial published through the magazine Big Issue, which is published to help the housing vulnerable and self-reliant individuals, Lee Se-young caught the readers' attention at once with her refreshing visual that captures the warm mood of spring. In the published photo, Lee Se-young showed a sophisticated and alluring figure by matching black and white clothes. In other cuts of her, her eye-catching beauty stands out with her freshly patterned shirt.
Lee Se Young graced the cover of the latest issue of Big Issue magazine.
In the interview following the photoshoot, the actress talked about what makes her character in The Red Sleeve so special.
Lee Se Young said, “My favorite scene is at the end of the fifth episode when Deok Im swears that she would protect Yi San at all costs. I thought it was very brave of her to say that as a mere court lady. Her words made me want to trust her beliefs,” showing her affection to her character who lived in an era where there were many restrictions in place.
Lee Se Young then compared the profession of acting to the profession of sports, “I want to continue my acting career throughout my life, so I try not to compare myself to the others. I’m constantly battling with myself every day, like one of those athletes. Once I achieve something great, I try to move up my game the next day. I know that if I keep going, I can make some changes without being jealous of others. I just keep in mind that it’s not possible to win all the time.”

"My mother likes to watch the drama too. It's embarrassing because she watch it every time I go home. (Laughs) If you made someone happy and waited for the drama, I don't think there is a greater compliment than that."
"In <The Crowned Clown>, I was a Queen, and in <The Red Sleeve>, I was a court lady, so my social status and personalities were different. Even if the same actor acts, the character's personality is different for each work, so I try to focus on that. Thinking how the writer create this role to act."

While filming today, I thought that you resembled Deok-im in <The Red Sleeve>. Active participation in projects in which you are involved. You seem to be very curious.
No, no. (Laughter) I'm not really curious. Actually, when it comes to work, I think i doesn't like to just flow. I get a little sensitive at work, and I want to know exactly what role I should play in which situations. I'm not very curious. Of course, I am by no means meddling in the domain of other experts. In the work of several people, not everyone can go the way I think. I know that all too well, but I try to work hard with a sense of ownership.
I saw you said that you felt insecure when you were in your 20s when you didn't have a job. The thought of 'Can I continue to live on this job? '
I think I've had that thought since I was young. (Laughs) Nothing lasts forever, and learning isn't a stable job. I can work only when someone chooses me. But in order to continue receiving that choice, you must have competitiveness. 'What is my own competitive edge?' I kept thinking about this. Although I am in a position of being chosen, I do not want to be weak, and I think I continued to find other things that I could do. First of all, I studied hard to get a scholarship, and thanks to that, I even got a second seat during the semester! (Laughs while showing a finger V) While filming an independent movie, looking for the next project. I don’t think I took a break. (Laughs) After that time, I think I like being at home better. My alone time is becoming more precious.
Do you have any last words to the readers of <Big Issue>?
I just remembered I really want a lot of people to be happy. Happiness is not far away. But I'm also cautious about saying things like this. It's possible that you're talking recklessly without knowing anything about each person's life. Many people have a hard time just living in the present. I hope that everyone will be happy with the hope that things will get better in the future. Even if the things that bother me don't change, I can't stop the wheel of life. I hope everyone smiles a lot and is healthy and happy.

I know the reason for failure, but it's difficult to pretend to be bright even when I'm full of things that I can't solve on my own. 'Don't think too much, just do it. Deok-im was cool too, but there were moments when I thought that actress Lee Se-young made the main character a warm person.
At the end of the movie, actress Lee Se-young recommended, 'I hope you are happy, reporter.' The movie is <Beautiful Flight> and the main character is the words, but he told me all about it, saying that he couldn't remember the title. Or <Champ> or <Dreamer>?
