As the premiere of <What Comes After Love> approaches, actress Lee Seyoung takes a moment to relax, dressed in a ”Good Day“ fusalp.

Magazine 'Dazed' released a pictorial and interview with actress Lee Se-young through its October 2024 issue. Lee Se-young expressed her excitement ahead of the airing of the recently filmed drama '#WhatComesAfterLove'.

When asked about the reason why she continues acting w/out taking a break,

"This time, I was really going to rest. But I saw the script. I think it was around the time I finished filming #WhatComesAfterLove that I have taught I really want to do this. So that’s what happened.”

"I'm trying to be more sensitive to find happiness in small things.”

I looked up almost all of actress Lee Se-young's interviews. In particular, I was impressed by how she often spoke affectionately about her staff. She said that she was comforted by them and learned a lot from them. I think that warm heart was conveyed in the interview.

If I think about it simply, if a new employee comes into the company and I just see them, I get excited. Don't you think that would be really unhappy? But I really liked the staff. So even if it was hard on set, I could make them happier. It was like that with all of her projects. Our team always had a lot of laughter, and I guess we got along well. There was a lot of laughter and the atmosphere was always good. In fact, the people I spend more time with than my family are my colleagues, staff, and seniors, so I feel truly blessed.

You're constantly playing various characters. It's understandable that you'd get tired, but isn't it hard?
It's hard. (Laughs)

But there must be a reason why you keep going. The difficulties you experience as an actor, the enlightenment you gain from them, and the way you pull yourself together when things get tough. I'm curious about Lee Se-young's unique acting world that she's built up through her experiences so far.
Once I read the script and think it's right for me, if I like it, I do it. I work hard. But this time, I really tried to rest. I was planning to rest a bit after <What Comes After Love> ended early for <The Story of Park's Marriage Contract >, but due to circumstances, I ended up starting right away. After <What Comes After Love> ended, I really didn't want to do anything for about 6 months. But then I read the script. I think it was around the time I finished filming <What Comes Come After Love>... I really wanted to do this. That's how it turned out. (Laughs) It's continuing like this. I keep reading the script and thinking, 'Ah, I want to do this.'

"I liked all the looks I wore during the shoot, including the white vest look.”

What efforts do you make to be happy?

I try to be a little more sensitive. If you look outside the window at around 6 PM, there is a beautiful sunset. It is called 'magic time'. I feel a lot of inner happiness even though my expression is indifferent when I look at that sunset. Before I came to shoot today, I had a peach that arrived at home, and I have that Earl Grey tea bag. I crushed it up and sprinkled powder on it, and then I put honey on it... It's not marmalade...

Marinate!
Marinate!!! Hahaha. Peach marinate, peach earl grey marinate is really delicious. I have it in the fridge right now. When I finish filming today and go home, instead of ordering delivery, I'm going to be super happy under the air conditioner and say, "I made dessert."

The best time to start anything is now.

I'm a very fiery person, and I think I had that same thought at the time. I think I chose the picture that looked a little good. It's okay if it's not good, but I guess I don't like not being able to do it.
